Overview 

Using the Archive Assistant, users can manually create public users in Active Directory. The article explains how this can be achieved. 

Process

1. Go to Start > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers.

2. Expand the domain node in the right-hand pane and choose Users.

3. Right-click the left pane, and choose New > User from the context menu.

   

4. Enter the required details and click Next.

   

5. Enter a password in the password field. Re-enter the password in the Confirm password field.

   

6. Choose Password never expires.

7. Click Next.

8. Click Finish.
