Error: "HTTP 404 - Not Found" When Synchronizing Outlook Connector

Overview

The Outlook Connector synchronization fails with the following error:

Failed to connect to Archiver server. HTTP Error 404 - Not Found

Environment

  • Archiver
  • All supported environments

Root Cause

The URL has been configured incorrectly or the environment settings required the port to be specified.

Resolution

  1. Verify the URL configured in Outlook Connector, go to Settings > URL of Archiver Server and select Verify.

  2. Make sure that the URL configured in step 1 is accessible from an Internet browser on the workstation.

  3. Change the URL configured in step one to include the port number the Archiver website is running on:
    • Example: http://gfiserver:80/Archiver/
