Overview

This article describes the process to configure Index File Location credentials when facing the error: Credentials passed do not have access to the index file location.

When you configure the Index File Location credentials, you will be able to enter UNC (Universal Naming Convention) paths when specifying the location where Archiver stores index files for all Archive Stores.

Process

1. Select the Configuration tab and click Archive Stores.
2. Select Index Management.
3. Check the Use the following login and password to access the Index File Location check box.
4. Enter your Admin credentials.
   NOTE: Ensure that the credentials you are using have read/write access to the local server.
5. Click Save.
   
   

Confirmation

Access the Index file Location with your admin credentials to verify that the configuration of the credentials was successful.
