Overview

This article provides information for creating backups of Archiver Archive Store(s). It is highly recommended to create backups of Archiver Archive Stores regularly in order to avoid loss of information.

Information

There are two ways to create backups for Archive Stores which are listed as follows:

• Online Backup

Online backup is created using a backup application which creates a backup of Archive Stores without the need to stop the Archiver services. For more information refer to Online Backup Products Compatible with GFI Archiver.

• Offline Backup

Offline backup can be created in environments where online backup is not possible. The GFI Archiver services must be temporarily stopped while creating a backup of Archive Stores.
